Victorian Almshouses Survey

Nicholas Vanburgh was commissioned to carry out a defect survey of a range of victorian almhouses, complete with tower (pictured). The survey catalogued features of the buildings, assessed their condition and made recommendations on how to address the defects.

Some of the defects found were cracking cementitious mortar, defective valley gutters, water ingress and condensation issues, slipped tiles and rotting of external timbers. We advised the client as to the urgency of remedies, to help them programme their maintenance work.
